288F0SC - 288 Port Wall-Mounted
Splice Closure
Description:
The 288F0SC is an economical solution to the increasing demand for space-efficient, multi-purpose fiber optic closures. When installed, the unit allows users to pull cable directly into the spacious interior via one or more of the eight entry ports. Ports are located on all four sides, each having a cover plate with a removable plug to access a 2’ diameter hole. The entry port cover plate also has two 1/2” diameter holes for ground wire feeds. If desired, the entire plate can be removed to access a 4” diameter hole.
The FOSC will house up to 10 meters of OSP cable slack, eliminating the need to store slack in a manhole or on a wall adjacent to the closure. Providing OSP cable storage within the unit not only protects the cable from unwanted physical damage, it effectively saves premium space on a wall or in a manhole.
Once in the closure, OSP cable may be stripped to allow storage of up to 10 meters
of buffer tube slack. OSP cable slack and buffer tube slack are segregated and routed
via internal brackets and wiring clips. The separation allows clear access to both splice
trays and buffertube slack. The standard FOSC allows up to 12 FIBERALL standard splice trays or 12 high-density splice trays, allowing users to splice up to 288 fibers. The high density OCS
will accomodate 18 trays or up to 432 splices.

Splice Trays
Fiberall’s splice trays use proven design and fiber organization technology to provide optimum physical protection for fusion and mechanical splice methods. The trays are engineered for use with both loose tube and tight-buffered optical cable designs. Their size prevents induced attenuation due to fiber bending.
Applications:
For use with indoor or outdoor splice hardware.
Protects and manages fibers and fiber splices
Used at field splice, transition splice and end splice locations.
Fiberall offers the industry’s highest quality fusion splice sleeves. Standard sleeves are constructed with a stainless steel strength member, polyolefin copolymer inner tube and a polyolefin outer tube. Cut lengths are precise and all ends are free from burrs and sharp edges. The entire assembly is heat bonded to ensure tubes maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking.
Standard style sleeves are available in different lengths, colors and diameters. They are also available with a dielectric strength member. All style variations are constructed to the same standards with the same core materials.
